Sharing Values – Helping Underprivileged Citizens.
The end of the 2017 didn’t represent a prominent happy ending and brand new resolutions for all of us. Disadvantaged people just like any other year set high expectations and high hopes for help in buying food and support in money, towards donors and volunteering citizens.
Newborns and toddlers of Elbasan Orphanage were in urgent need for basic nutrition (milk), such a key vital element and far more important than the need for clothes, affection and toys.
Tobacco Holding Group in collaboration with official volunteers of Elbasan Orphanage expressed deep solidarity in contributing with 15 Formula Milk packs with the wish to fulfill the little babies’ nutrition needs.
In line with its CSR policies, THG had in special focus during 2017, also the needs of those communities who actually are feeling helpless, without support and unintegrated; just like the invalid persons (paraplegics) for whom were bought and donated 100 food packages based on the expressed request from Albanian Invalid Para & Tetraplegia Association.
Collaboration with Religious Communities for a better daily life for those in need, never ceases on THG Philanthropist Activities Agenda: In support of poorest community living at hard conditions at Mustafakoç village near Tirana, where bought and distributed 50 food packs.
By the end of each year, on December 29th - as it has been established already as a yearly routine and tradition of Fezollari family, to many needy families in Pogradec were offered food packs. Taking part in the opening ceremony of this philanthropic action were also representatives from Pogradec Municipality who valued and appreciated this CSR action.
Mr. Bajram Fezollari in his public speech (interview) for private and public media (RTSH, ST 7 TV) emphasized the key value of the action and claimed solidarity act from all other businesses to support families in Pogradec. Moreover Mr. Fezollari, made a public “call to action” for the youngest generations not only living in Pogradec but allover Albania to start 2018 with a new life resolution: “To embrace the hard work and set off laziness.”
1,500 food packs which were delivered for Pogradec families, represent a part of many more other packs donated also in Elbasan, Librazhd etc. Besides these philanthropic donations, THG has delivered more than 500 gift packs for all employees working allover Albania and their children.
