Courvoiser

Courvoisier heritage begins in 1810 when Emmanuel Courvoisier, the founder, and Louis Gallois, decided to open a wine and spirit company on the outskirts of Paris.
Since then, Courvoisier is amongst the four leading cognac houses in the world. Legend has it that the emperor Napoleon himself chose Courvoisier as his preferred cognac, therefore Courvoisier is often referred to as “The Cognac of Napoleon”.
To be legally called cognac, eaux-de-vie must be aged for at least two and a half years. Every additional year adds richness and smoother flavours, so even the youngest cognac, Courvoisier VS, uses eaux-de-vie that has been aged for up to eight years.
